1. Introduction

AlphaGlow AI ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the AlphaGlow AI platform ("Platform") at alphaglowai.com.

By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, password (hashed), display name, and profile details when you create an account.
  • User Content: Posts, messages, meditation scripts, images, videos, and other content you create or upload.
  • Wellness Data: Meditation preferences, journey progress, wellness goals, session history, and intentions you share with Nova.
  • Communications: Messages sent through the Platform, Nova chat conversations, and support requests.
  • Payment Information: If applicable, billing details processed through our payment providers (we do not store full payment card numbers).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Browser Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language preferences.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns, and interaction data.
  • IP Address & Location: Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS data).
  • Cookies & Local Storage: Session tokens, authentication state, and user preferences stored locally in your browser.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features.
  • To personalize your wellness experience, including AI-generated meditations, insights, and recommendations.
  • To power Nova, our AI wellness companion, which processes your conversations and wellness data to provide personalized guidance.
  • To generate and render Digital Twin avatars and voice narrations for meditation experiences.
  • To facilitate communication between users, creators, and the Platform.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and Terms violations.
  • To enforce our zero-tolerance policy against Digital Twin identity theft and impersonation.
  • To send service-related notifications (account alerts, security notices, feature updates).
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve Platform performance and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. How AI Uses Your Data

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to deliver personalized wellness experiences. Understanding how your data interacts with AI is important:

  • Nova Conversations: When you chat with Nova, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. Your conversations are stored in our database for session continuity and history.
  • Meditation Generation: When you describe your intention for a personalized meditation, that text is processed by Anthropic's API to generate a meditation script. The intention and generated script are stored in your account for replay.
  • Voice Narration: Meditation scripts may be sent to HeyGen for voice synthesis and avatar rendering. HeyGen processes this data per their own privacy policy.
  • Daily Insights: Nova's daily wellness posts are generated by AI using general wellness knowledge and web research. They do not use individual user data.
  • No Model Training: We do not use your personal data, conversations, or content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your data is used solely for inference (generating responses for you).

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud-hosted database and authentication service built on PostgreSQL. Supabase provides:

  • Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
  • Secure password hashing (bcrypt) through Supabase Auth.
  • Regular automated backups.

Media files (images, videos) are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls. We implement industry-standard security measures, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate the Platform:

Anthropic (Claude API)

Processes: Nova conversations, meditation generation, daily wellness insights. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training. Data is processed per Anthropic's API Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

HeyGen

Processes: Meditation script text for voice synthesis and avatar video generation. HeyGen processes data per their privacy policy. Generated videos are stored temporarily on HeyGen's servers and linked from the Platform.

Supabase

Provides: Authentication, database, file storage, and real-time features. All user data (accounts, content, messages, meditation history) is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption and RLS protections.

Vercel

Provides: Application hosting, serverless functions, edge network delivery. Vercel processes request metadata (IP addresses, user agents) per their privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
  • User Content: Retained until you delete it or delete your account. Backup copies are purged within 30 days.
  • Nova Chat History: Retained for your reference. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Usage & Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely. Personally identifiable usage data is deleted within 90 days of account deletion.
  • Legal Preservation: Data related to Terms violations, identity theft investigations, or legal proceedings may be retained as required by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification, email, or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
